"Cats never suck babies' breaths," said Gilbert. "That is only an old superstition, Susan."

Android newsMiss Cornelia sailed down to the little house one drowsy afternoon, when the gulf was the faint, bleached blue of the August seas, and the orange lilies at the gate of Anne's garden held up their imperial cups to be filled with the molten gold of August sunshine. Not that Miss Cornelia concerned herself with painted oceans or sun-thirsty lilies. She sat in her favorite rocker in unusual idleness. She sewed not, neither did she spin. Nor did she say a single derogatory word concerning any portion of mankind. In short, Miss Cornelia's conversation was singularly devoid of spice that day, and Gilbert, who had stayed home to listen to her, instead of going a-fishing, as he had intended, felt himself aggrieved. What had come over Miss Cornelia? She did not look cast down or worried. On the contrary, there was a certain air of nervous exultation about her.

But it was a happy and beautiful bride who came down the old, homespun-carpeted stairs that September noon--the first bride of Green Gables, slender and shining-eyed, in the mist of her maiden veil, with her arms full of roses. Gilbert, waiting for her in the hall below, looked up at her with adoring eyes. She was his at last, this evasive, long-sought Anne, won after years of patient waiting. It was to him she was coming in the sweet surrender of the bride. Was he worthy of her? Could he make her as happy as he hoped? If he failed her--if he could not measure up to her standard of manhood--then, as she held out her hand, their eyes met and all doubt was swept away in a glad certainty. They belonged to each other; and, no matter what life might hold for them, it could never alter that. Their happiness was in each other's keeping and both were unafraid.SPRING DAYS

Marilla sniffed scornfully and Mrs. Lynde looked shocked.

All kind of arguments and question deep,

Devolver Digital is back with another mobile port. This time around they're bringing adventure rogue-lite The Swords of Ditto over to Apple Devices. It will be available for iOS on 24th October.

Already available on the Switch, where we reviewed it earlier this year, The Swords of Ditto is an action RPG where you play as numerous adventurers in a relentless fight against Mormo. Each time you die you'll start again as a new hero and the successes and failures of your previous character will affect the next in line.

How you tackle the game is up to you, you can immediately go and find Mormo and try to defeat her if you wish, though it'll likely end in your own demise. Alternatively, you can make use of the limited days you'll have in the game to level up, get new equipment so that you can be as prepared as possible for the final showdown with Mormo.

The cutesy art style of the Swords of Ditto extends to the weapons you can find as well. Alongside your usual sword and bow, you'll also be able to use a vinyl record or a golf club as weapons. To gain new perks and get buffs for your hero you'll have to collect stickers. It's all very wholesome so I hope the game translates well to phones.

Devolver Digital have always been big supporters of mobile. This year alone they've ported Gris over to iOS as well as releasing numerous games specifically for phones. Witcheye and their plethora of Apple Arcade games such as Exit the Gungeon and Cricket Through the Ages show they're committed to the platform. And they publish great games, so it's a wonderful they release so many.

The Swords of Ditto will be available on the App Store on 24th October and you can pre-order now if you'd like. It'll be a premium game that will cost £5.99/$5.99.
Check out our news section to discover the latest, and greatest, games.
As I'm sure you're aware, it was heavily rumoured over the last couple of weeks that Nintendo was going to hold a Direct earlier this morning. Evidently, this rumour didn't prove true and Nintendo had a little fun of its own riling up its fans during the wait.
pic.twitter.com/BkhTYDNnpY— Nintendo of America (@NintendoAmerica) January 10, 2018 These are my favourite sorts of stories to report on. Yes, I know it's disappointing that there's no Direct news yet, but the internet's reaction is what kept me stuck to my screen last night.

Around about 4:30 PM (GMT) yesterday evening, a few images went around Twitter showing off a hastily deleted Tweet from Gamestop, a couple of secret videos, and my personal favourite: an empty space on the Direct listing that was totally NOT due to an odd number.

This period of wildness went on for about two hours as Nintendo Direct trended, Tweets were tweeted, and a lot of media outlets and sources got involved in having fun with the hype, including IGN, GameSpot, Sonic, Doom, Mega Man, Assassin's Creed, Nibel, us here at Pocket Gamer, and much more.

If the sinking, settling feeling of realisation wasn't the best thing about this whole play, it was watching the internet's reaction once Nintendo America released the picture above.

Between memes, anger, frustration, hilarity, respect, and the general 'AWWW YOU' siege of GIFs, I think it's safe to say that Nintendo trolled us hard and we're not even mad about it.

Of course, if you'd like to see what Nintendo's got in store for us in its latest Mini Direct, check it out right here.
